Cuckooing

Cuckooing, also known as ‘home invasion’, is where a criminal befriends an individual who lives on their own. The criminal then moves in and uses the property.

Redditch and Bromsgrove, alongside West Mercia Police (WMP) have developed and adopted the following processes for dealing with Cuckooing, which was sighted  as good practice across the County as part of the learning from the Peter Safeguarding Adults Review (SAR):
