Changes To Safeguarding Children Arrangements From 1st September

image of professionals at workThe Children and Social Work Act 2017, supported by statutory guidance in Working Together 2018, sets out requirements for each local area to re-design safeguarding arrangements previously co-ordinated by Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs).  Responsibility for the design and implementation of the new arrangements in Worcestershire rests with the three named Safeguarding Partners; the Chief Executive of Worcestershire County Council, the Chief Constable of West Mercia Police, and the Accountable Officer for the NHS South Worcestershire, NHS Wyre Forest and the NHS Bromsgrove and Redditch Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs).  The new arrangements will be implemented by 1 September 2019.  Further information is located at: https://www.safeguardingworcestershire.org.uk/wscb/
