Who needs Safeguarding

Complex Adults Risk Management (CARM) Framework
A CARM was introduced in Worcestershire during 2022. It provides front line practitioners with a framework to facilitate effective joint working with adults who:
- are at risk of harm due to their complex needs,
- where the risks cannot effectively be managed via other processes or interventions, such as section 9 care and support assessment or section 42, safeguarding enquiry under the Care Act 2014.
- the adult’s engagement with support is intermittent or it has been difficult to engage with the adult
- individual agency procedures have not been able to resolve the problem(s)
- Without some for of support the risk is likely to increase

Safeguarding Adults Reviews
Since the implementation of the Care Act (2014) there is a statutory requirement to undertake Safeguarding Adults Reviews (SARs). Further details on how this is undertaken in Worcestershire, along with copies of published SARs and learning briefings can be found by following the link below:
Safeguarding Adults Network
The Safeguarding Network group is open to organisations who directly deliver services to adults at risk, including voluntary sector and services that operate at a district level. Further details on the Network and how to join can be found by following the link below:

WSAB Annual Reports
The Care Act 2014 requires each Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) to publish an annual report, as soon as is feasible, after the end of each financial year. These can be found by following the link below
